Örvar Dóri

Örvar is a young climber by nature and more or less grew up in the mountains close to Ísafjörður. His easy-going spirit and great sense of humor is well appreciated by our guests.

He trained cross country skiing for 8 years but his current main passion is ski touring, rock and ice climbing, using good days to practice his skills in the mountains all over Iceland.

He works as a heli ski guide in teh spring ski season in Iceland and joins us in the summer.

This is Örvar's tenth season guiding for Borea Adventures.  He holds a 4 star BCU kayaking certificate and recently completed his ski guiding exam with the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides.

First memory of adventure: Doing the first tandem paragliding flight in Iceland with his dad when he was 5 years old! His dream is to build a ski press or open his own adventure company, ADHD Adventures...!
